Dear Church Family,

As I sit to type my final message to you, I find it truly difficult to express in words all that is in my mind and heart.

These last several months, and especially most recently Beverly and I have spent much time in prayer making sure of God’s direction in resigning/retiring as your pastor.  This step of obedience to our Lord in faith is not being taken lightly at all. 

The love that we have for you all, and the love that you have and continue to pour out on us are the things that make it so hard for us to part.  You folks have become family to us as God has grown us together in love.  Be assured that no matter what God’s plan for us, and for you as a church family develop into, that bond of love shall continue.

May we all continue finding resolve and strength from our Lord.  Beverly and I may not be with you physically as much; but I pray that our focus will be fixed upon our Lord as we patiently wait upon His next step for you and for us: “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40: 31). 

May we look forward with great anticipation to see the great and mighty things God has in store for Naples Baptist Church family!!!
